직업훈련이 직업의 질에 미치는 영향: 청년층을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 직업훈련 참여가 대학 졸업 후 첫 직장의 일자리의 질 지표(Job Quality Index, JQI)에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. JQI를 산출하기 위해 대졸자직업이동경로조사(GOMS) 2013~2017년 자료를 이용하였으며, 주성분 분석을 통해 각 개인이 가진 일자리의 질을 나타내는 JQI를 산출하였다. 직업훈련 참여와 취업 선택이라는 두 종류의 선택편의를 모두 고려한 Heckman 표본선택모형을 적용한 분석결과, 직업훈련 참여는 객관적 JQI를 9.4%, 주관적 JQI를 16.4% 높이는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

This study analyzed the impact of vocational training participation on the Job Quality Index (JQI) of the first job after graduating from college. To derive the JQI, Graduate Occupational Mobility Survey data from 2013 to 2017 were used, and a JQI representing the overall quality of each individual's job was calculated using principal component analysis. The analysis, which applied the Heckman sample selection model considering both types of selection bias—participation in vocational training and employment choices—showed that participation in vocational training increased the objective and subjective JQI by 9.4% and 16.4%, respectively.
