단위학교의 진로교육 실천역량 강화 방안

Abstract

* 단위학교의 진로교육에서 발생하는 여러 가지 이슈에 대한 사회적 논의는 이루어지고 있으나, 많은 경우 이념적 정치적 입장 및 접근에 의해 논의과정이 왜곡되어 학교현장의 실질적 문제에 대한 해결로까지 가지 못함. * 진로교육은 학생들이 직업 전반에 대한 이해도를 높이고 스스로의 소질 및 적성, 흥미에 대해 진지하게 성찰하며, 이를 위한 다양한 직업정보의 탐색 활동 및 장래에 대한 적극적 사고를 지원해야 하지만 현재의 진로교육은 그러한 기능을 충분히 수행하지 못하고 있음. * 창의적 체험활동의 도입에 따라 학교에서의 진로교육이 어느 정도 자리매김할 수 있는 계기가 마련되었지만 도입 초기인 만큼 창의적 체험활동을 어떻게 활용하며 이를 통한 진로교육이 어떻게 이루어져야 하는지에 대한 논의가 충분치 않음. * 또한, 단발성 진로교육이 아닌 직업세계의 이해를 통해 보다 심도 있고 구체적인 진로교육이 지속적으로 이루어져야할 필요성이 있음. * 진로교육을 위한 체험학습 및 방문학습에 필요한 기자재 및 인적, 물적 자원의 확보와 지원에 대해 학교 예산 및 학교 자체적 노력만으론 부족한 부분을 학부모 및 지역사회의 지원을 통해 해결하는 방안에 대한 논의의 필요함.

The school career education in a post-industrial society which brings about diversification of vocational environment is predicted to take further important roles. The Ministry of Educational Science and Technology(MEST) introduced career activities into the school curriculum through revised national curriculum in primary and secondary school, expanding ‘career and job’ textbook adoption by a elective course, and assigning career & academic counselors in secondary school. This study mainly dealt with the issues of career education in individual school level and sought the effective problem-solving approach for the development of school career education. It was focused on analysis of case studies on individual schools and of main issues according to educational & environmental change based on reflecting manifold opinions of meetings with experts, teachers, parents, administrators, etc. Related to drawing the practical policy of career education, this study tried to address the follows, firstly, the current status and problems of the creative hands-on activities were reviewed and policy directions for promoting effectiveness of creative-hands on activities were suggested. Secondly, the various ways of expanding vocational understanding through the school curriculum were provided in the variety of perspectives. Third, the concept, necessity and policy implications of “donation for education” were presented.
