평생학습의 참여실태와 수요 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 우리나라 성인들의 평생학습 참여 실태, 만족도, 비체계적 평생학습 참여도와 만족도 및 평생학습활동 참여 의향 등에 대한 전반적 조사를 분석하려는데 일차적인 목적을 두고 있다.

The subject of this research is 9,571 members aged 18-64 in about 5,000 households throughout the nation. This research is about the actual condition and demand of lifelong learning and has been done through door-to-door questionnaire. The main findings are as follows. The participation rate of lifelong learning is 19.0% and women's participation rate(20.2%) is higher than men's(17.8%) by 2.4%. And the higher the literacy level is, the higher the participation rate is. The participation rate of people with educational attainments equal to and lower than those of middle school graduate is 13.1%, that of people with educational attainments of high school graduate is 14.5%, that of people with university graduate is 25.0% and that of people in graduate school is 28.2%. The expense for participating in lifelong learning is mainly imposed on the person in question or his family members(31.4～83.4%). And the major cause for not participating in lifelong learning is the insufficiency of time(51.0%). Quite a number of people(62.8%) do not have plans to participate in lifelong learning hereafter. Those who will not spend any money on lifelong learning hereafter take up 22.0% and those who will spend less than 100,000 won form 39.1%. For better practice of lifelong learning, the matter of financial burden imposed on the person in question should be resolved urgently(21.0%) and understanding of the value and necessity of lifelong learning needs to be stirred up(14.0%).
