실용영어 인증방안 연구(Ⅰ) : 실용영어 평가도구 모형 설계를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구에서는 실용영어의 개념을 고찰하고 영국, 미국, 일본 및 국내의 실용영어 평가도구를 살펴보고, 실무자와 교육담당자를 대상으로 실용영어 와 관련된 전반적인 사항에 대한 요구를 분석하였고, 이에 더하여 실용영어 평가 도구 모형개발의 방향과 인증 방안을 제시하였다.

As a method to save foreign currency under IMF, it has been raised to replace imported English competency evaluation tools with a domestic evaluation tool. Currently, domestic researchers are engaged in developing practical English evaluation tools in order to replace TOEIC(The Test of English for International Communication) developed by ETS(Educational Testing Service). Recognizing the fact that TOEIC does not evaluate English communication skills in real business, especially speaking ability, researchers examined a variety of English evaluation tools, carried out a need analysis and model development for practical English, in addition to studying how to certify English evaluation tools. According to the need analysis for 900 practitioners in business and industry, a new focus on evaluation should be placed on writing and speaking, as well as listening and reading which has been emphasized by the predominant tool in Korean market. ...
