평생학습을 위한 학생의 동기 증진 (OECD 협력사업)

Abstract

본 연구의 주목적은 우리 나라 중등학교 학생들의 학습동기 증진과 관련된 성공적인 사례를 발굴하는 데 있으며, 나아가 이를 종합적으로 비교, 분석하여 우리 나라 교육 실정에 적합한 평생학습 체제에서의 중등학교 학생들의 학습동기 증진 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구는 OECD를 주축으로 하고, 우리 나라를 위시한 8개국이 공동 참여하는 형태로 수행되었다. 참여국은 한국(Korea), 덴마크(Denmark), 핀란드(Finland), 아이슬랜드(Iceland), 아일랜드(Ireland), 일본(Japan), 노르웨이(Norway), 영국(United Kingdom)이다. 본 연구의 참여를 통해 우리 나라의 우수한 교육혁신 사례들을 국제적으로 알리며, 우리 나라의 교육 체제에 대한 이해와 협력을 도모할 수 있는 계기를 마련할 수 있다.

This study mainly aims at finding successful cases related to improving students' motivation for learning in Korea's secondary schools. It has been jointly conducted by 8 countries under the superintendence of OECD. The countries which joined in the study are Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Norway, United Kingdom and Korea. Joining in this study has given us an opportunity for internationally announcing the cases of excellent educational innovation in Korea and serves as a means of promoting the understanding of and the collaboration for the Korean education. The method of conducting this study was specifically presented by OECD, and its contents are as follows. First, this study analyzed previous studies on motivation for learning and various kinds of statistics by investigating relevant literature and materials. Second, this study practiced field examinations for finding and selecting innovation cases. For the field examinations, we interviewed with education administrators, teachers and students, and visited the classes at work. Third, this study made an intensive analysis of the finally selected cases focusing on the areas demanded by OECD (curricula, teaching strategies and connected education). Fourth, the representatives of OECD conducted a study visit to innovation case schools from June 12 to June 18.
