2014년 국제성인능력측정 프로젝트(PIAAC) 사업

Abstract

본 사업의 목적은 2013년 공표된 국제성인능력측정과 국제비교보고서 및 국내보고서의 내용 심층 분석, OECD의 심층분석 보고서(Thematic Review)에 대한 의견 제안, 국제성인능력측정에 대한 이해 및 정책적 시사점 도출을 위한 국내 학술대회의 개최에 있음.

While it is unnecessary to mention that the development and use of human resources has become a national issue of great importance, it should be reiterated that people’s competencies are not only core elements of national competitiveness but also play a crucial role in social adaptation and the well-being of each individual. Initiated in 2008 by the OECD, the Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) is designed to systematically identify the implications of policies concerning education and training based on quantitative information, on various aspects of adult abilities. The PIAAC is a work of monumental significance that was implemented under standards of unprecedented strictness to ensure maximum international comparability. This report provides an international comparison of competencies among Korean adults and presents the results of analyses into adult competencies in personal, social and economic areas, based on the PIAAC data.
