본 연구의 궁극적인 목적은 현재의 기업 자체 교육훈련시스템을 다각적으로 검토하며, 산업체가 필요한 인재를 스스로 교육 훈련할 수 있는 맞춤형 인재양성 모델 및 지원 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 구체적인 목적은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 최근 청년층 노동시장 동향 분석을 통해 기업 자체 교육훈련의 필요성 및 방향을 제시한다. 둘째, 기업 자체 교육훈련 프로그램을 유형화하여 현황 및 문제점을 분석하고 기업의 수요를 파악한다. 셋째, 선취업후진학 희망자, 일 학습병행자, 중소기업근로자 및 다양한 근로자의 접근성을 높이는 새로운 기업 자체 교육훈련시스템 및 정책과제를 제안한다.
