직업계고 현장실습 단일교과 도입 및 운영 방안

Abstract

직업계고에서의 현장실습은 1963년에 고시된 제2차 교육과정에서 명문화되었고, 이후 직업교육훈련생이라면 누구나 산업체에서 현장실습을 의무적으로 이수해야 하였다. 당초 도입 취지와 달리 현장실습생을 교육적 측면보다 일반 근로자처럼 노동에 직접 투입하여 활용하면서 노동 착취, 인권 유린, 안전사고 등의 부작용이 발생하였다. 이러한 문제점을 근본적으로 해결하기 위해 정부는 현장실습을 노동중심이 아니라 학습중심으로 전환하기로 하였고, 학습중심 현장실습에 있어 꼭 필요한 것은 현장실습을 단일교과로 편성·운영하는 것이다. 그런데 지금까지는 현장실습을 교육과정에 편성된 교과 내용과 다르게 전문교과의 일부 또는 대체 개념으로 운영하는 등 직업계고 3학년 2학기 학사 운영의 파행을 가져왔다. 본고에서는 직업계고 현장실습 단일교과 도입·운영 모형, 현장실습 단일교과의 편성·운영 방안, 현장실습 단일교과 도입·운영을 위한 제도 개선 사항 등을 제안하였다.

Co-operative Education Programs in vocational high schools was stipulated by The Second National Curriculum in 1963, and subsequently was obliged to students of vocational high schools by establishing legislation. But as making economic development, Co-operative Education Programs have been utilized to ensure functional manpower in related industries. Consequently, industries and companies have tended to consider students to general workers, and various side effects have been occurred such as exploitation of labor, human rights abuse and neglected accidents. Because Co-op programs have been implemented as parts of specialized subject or substitutional concept, Curriculum for the second semester of third grade have been operated with gaps between organized subject contents and actual Co-op program contents. For this reason, this study tried to design the plan that introduce and implement the independent subjects for Co-op programs in vocational high schools. we suggested a model of introducing independent subjects, plans of organizing independent subjects in curriculum of the second semester of third grade, and improvement requirement of law and system concerning Co-op programs to introduce independent subjects.
