India is a key country in the ‘New Southward Policy’ of Korea, rising to the level of the four major powers around the world, and attracting attention as an alternative to Next China. It has a strong influence in regional and international diplomacy to lead the past non-alliance coalition. India is interested in introducing and innovating vocational education at the secondary level to promote ‘Skill India’ and ‘Make in India’ policy to support recent rapid economic growth. In order to strengthen secondary vocational education in India at the request of India, this project is based on Korea’s experience and model of vocational education development, and the model of vocational education for each school (including curriculum, school operation and teacher education). This task has launched to work as a project to discuss the trends and strategies of secondary vocational education at national level. The project has been carried out for three years from 2018 to 2021, and this project is equivalent to the first year. In order to carry out the project, various internal and external specialists were mobilized to utilize professionals with high professionalism and global competence in vocational education. NCERT, which is responsible for the development and evaluation of educational curriculum and textbooks in India, is the partner organization for this project in India, RIE Bhopal and PSSCIVE are the executing agencies for practice, and the Multipurpose Demonstration School is the pilot school.
