새로운 미래 직업학교 구상 연구

Abstract

이 연구는 미래 사회의 급격한 변화에 대응하여 새롭게 시도하고 있는 미래 지향적인 직업학교 시스템과 다양한 직업교육 접근 모델을 탐색하고 구상하여 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 연구에서는 기존 직업학교의 ‘개선’ 차원의 접근에서 벗어나 ‘미래 지향’적이고 ‘혁신’적인 접근, ‘대안’적이고 ‘융합’적인 접근 관점에서 다양한 미래형 직업학교 모델과 구현 전략을 제시하였으며, 앞으로 10여 년 후인 2030년경의 미래 시점을 전망하면서 연구를 진행하였다. 이 연구에서는 중등교육 단계의 직업학교 모델을 주 포커스로 하되, 중등 이후의 고등교육 단계와 직업능력개발훈련, 평생교육을 연계하거나 포괄하는 융합적인 구상을 통해 다양한 직업학교 모델과 구현 전략을 제시하고자 하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 토대로 보다 미래 지향적인 직업학교 모델을 정립하여 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대하며, 이를 현재 직업교육의 효과를 제고하기 위한 정책 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 현재 직업교육 및 직업학교의 문제를 보다 미래 지향적이고 혁신적인 관점에서 진단하고 접근하여 직업교육의 효과를 제고하기 위한 정책 자료로도 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 향후 이 연구를 계기로 새로운 미래의 직업학교 시스템과 직업교육 모델을 탐색하고 구상하며 재구조화의 관점에 바람직한 미래형 직업학교 모델에 대해 논의할 수 있는 토대가 마련될 수 있을 것이다.

It is necessary to conceive and design vocational schools in a more forward-looking and convergent perspective for vocational education which can provide substantial help so that young people can prepare themselves to get jobs that’s right for them after graduating, enter into society, and continue to grow and develop. The purpose of this study is to explore, conceive, and present models for vocational schools and approaches to vocational education which are newly tried as a way to address rapid changes in future society. Departing from approaches focused on improving existing vocational schools, this study suggests various vocational school models and development strategies in more forward-looking, innovative, alternative, and convergent perspective, foreseeing the future society of about 2030.
