- Abstract
- This study is designed to find out the implications for the Tomorrow's World of Work, which is planned to be published from year 2002 biannually as a guidebook to the jobs of tomorrow for students, parents, job seekers, teachers, and career and education counselors.
The nature and structure of the labour market have changed considerably over the past decade, primarily due to the globalization of the exchange of goods and services and the development of a more knowledge-based and technology-oriented economy. The result is that today's labour market is more turbulent, undergoing rapid and continuous change.
Decisions about one's career and education or training requirements relevant to it are among the most difficult decisions that an individual must make.
Recently, the government of Korea is strongly committed to providing young Koreans with quality career information to support all Koreans in making their choices regarding career and education, and to offering the best labour market information through, for example, the publication of Tomorrow's World of Work.
