산업대학 체제개편 방안 연구

Abstract

각국의 산업기술교육이 이루어지는 교육기관을 탐구하고 비교분석함으로써 우리 나라의 현실에 맞는 산업대학의 정체성과 역할을 새롭게 모색함.

개정된 고등교육법내에서 연구중심대학과 현장 직업교육중심의 대학의 역할을 재확인하고, 학습이력이 이질적인 입학생의 통합교육으로 인한 폐해성을 극복할 수 있는 학교체제를 구안함.

현재의 산업대학을 “현장 실천력이 강한 기술자 양성대학”으로의 정체성을 확립하고, 이에 따라 산업대학이 지니는 대학 단계의 직업？기술교육기관으로서의 위상에 적합한 교육환경을 조성하기 위하여 행？재정지원을 강화할 수 있는 방안을 제시함.

산업대학의 체제를 개편하는 또 다른 대안으로서 일반대학화하는 경우 극복해야 할 제도적 문제점과 타당성있는 해결방안을 제시함.

The current Higher Education Act dictates that a polytechnic university should operate by utilizing the same standard that a general university does, in terms of the criteria for entrance to the university, the system of an academic affair, and curricular. Further, general universities have adopted a credit-banking system, distance education, and open learning, which used to be operated at polytechnic universities. As a result, it is less marketable and competitive. This study was aimed to determine the identity of polytechnic universities, their roles in vocational education, and an administrative and financial delivery system for the construction of a desirable environment of polytechnic universities by examining industrial technology education of foreign countries. The study was also conducted to identify problems that could incur when polytechnic universities change their status to general ones and to seek a remedy for the problems. In order to do so, relevant literature was reviewed, the history of polytechnic universities in Korea was analyzed, legal problems in operating the universities were identified, and an alternative to the existing educational operating system and educational programs of the universities was produced.
