Abstract

The history of evaluation on the vocational training in Korea is still in an initial phase passed for about a year. In effect, the evaluation of the vocational training reflects negative aspects since it began with the position of guidance and inspection. However, the evaluation serves as a device to pursue the effectiveness of the vocational training center and average out the quality of the vocational training. In the wake of the large-scale unemployment, various vocational training centers participated in the evaluation process. The objective of this research is to find out a suitable evaluation device according to the patterns of vocational training centers. For this to be done, this research should be based on a fact-finding analysis, foreign evaluation system, and opinion survey about the vocational training centers. In detail, there are several things to deal with in this research. First of all, it is necessary to establish an evaluation model of vocational training. Secondly, it is required to set up an evaluation system suitable for the characteristics of vocational training, Third, it is crucial to suggest a standardized evaluation schedule and criterion. Fourth, it is essential to create the linkage between public release of evaluation and the stability of vocation, Fifth, a variety of incentives are required for the optimal evaluation result.
