청년층 지역이동 결정요인에 관한 연구 : 일반계 고등학교와 전문계 고등학교 졸업생 비교를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 청년층의 직장 선택과정에서 나타나는 지역이동경로 및 그 결정요인을 분석하는데 있다. 특히, 전문계 고등학교 졸업생과 일반계 고등학교 졸업생의 분석결과를 비교하였다. 한국교육고용패널(KEEP) 자료를 활용하여 고등학교 유형별로 취업이동경로 및 결정요인을 분석한 결과에 따르면, 전문계 고등학교 졸업생의 지역 잔류 비중이 상대적으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 전문계 고등학교 졸업생에게는 일자리의 질과 관련된 요인들이 담보될 경우 취업지역을 이동하는 결정을 감행한다는 것을 보였다. 이로부터, 지역 단위에서 일자리의 질을 제고하는 고용정책을 시행함으로써, 인재 유출을 방지할 수 있다는 시사점을 전달한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze regional migration pathways and their determinants in the job search process of young people. In particular, the analysis results were compared between vocational high school graduates and general high school graduates. According to the results of analyzing migration pathways and their determinants by type of high school using the Korea Education and Employment Panel (KEEP) data, the proportion of local stayers among vocational high school graduates is relatively high. In addition, vocational high school graduates were shown to make a decision to move to a job area if the factors related to job quality were secured. From this, the implication is that the employment policy that improves the quality of jobs at the local level can prevent the outflow of young population.
