청소년기 대인관계와 성인기의 사회적 신뢰도 간의 관계 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 청소년기 대인관계(또래 관계, 교사와의 관계, 부모와의 관계)가 대학 시절의 대인관계로 연결되는지 실증적으로 알아보았으며, 청소년기 대인관계가 성인기의 사회적 적응에 기반이 되는 사회적 신뢰도와 연결되는지 역시 검증하였다. 연구 분석을 위해서는 한국교육고용패널(KEEP)의 1차부터 12차년도의 고등학교 3학년과 중학교 3학년 코호트 자료가 활용되었으며, 코호트 고정효과모형이 사용되었다. 연구 결과, 청소년기에 교사와의 관계가 좋은 학생들이 대학 시절의 대인관계도 좋은 경향을 보였다. 또한 청소년기에 또래와의 우호적인 관계를 형성한 학생일수록 대학 시절의 대인관계 역시 좋은 것으로 나타났으며, 청소년기의 부모와의 관계도 대학 시절의 대인관계를 예측하는 유의미한 요인인 것으로 나타났다. 청소년기 대인관계가 성인기 사회적 신뢰도에 미치는 영향 분석의 경우, 대학 시절의 대인관계를 포함하여 개인의 특성, 가정 배경 및 교육적 배경 등 다양한 요인들을 통제했을 때 청소년기 시절의 교사와의 관계와 부모와의 관계가 성인기 사회적 신뢰수준을 예측하는 유의미한 요인인 것으로 나타났다.

This study is to examine the association between interpersonal relationship(i.e., teacher-student relationship, friendship, and parent-child relationship) in adolescence, interpersonal relationship in college, and social trust in adulthood. We used the Korean Education and Employment Panel(KEEP) data, collected by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training(KRIVET) that tracks two nationally representative cohorts of middle and high school seniors over a decade. The findings of this study show that all types of interpersonal relationship in adolescence are positively associated with one’s interpersonal relationship in college. While interpersonal relationship in college is shown to be the strongest predictor for social trust in adulthood, teacher-student relationship and parent-child relationship are also positively associated with social trust in adulthood.
