한국사회 청년층의 기회평등 인식 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 한국교육고용패널Ⅱ(KEEPⅡ) 1차, 2차 그리고 4차 부가조사 데이터를 사용하여 한국사회 청년층의 기회평등 인식을 분석하였다. 분석방향은 고등학교 시기의 가정배경과 학업활동(진로성숙도, 학업성취)그리고 청년기의 경제상황, 사회적관계, 개인역량 발휘 정도가 기회평등 인식과 연계되어 있는지 탐색하는 것이다. 분석방법은 기회평등 인식을 최종 종속변인으로 한 구조방정식모형을 설정하고 LISREL 프로그램을 사용하여 인과관계를 확인하였다. 분석결과 청년층의 기회평등 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인은 청년기 현재 시점의 경제상황과 개인역량 발휘 수준인 것으로 확인되었다. 연구 결과는 한국사회 초년생으로 진입한 청년층의 기회평등 인식을 확인할 수 있으며, 사회구성원으로 책임감 있는 역할을 수행할 수 있도록 사회적 기반을 조성하는데 필요한 정보로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

This study analyzed the perceptions of the equal opportunity in the early adulthood of Korean society by using the 1st and 4th wave addition data of the Korea Education and Employment PanelⅡ(KEEPⅡ). The analysis is to explore whether the family background and academic activities (career maturity, academic achievement) in high school are linked with the perception of equal opportunity. And too, it is to explore whether the economic condition, social relations, and individual competency in early adulthood are connected with the perception of equal opportunity. For the analysis method, a structural equation model was designed with the perceptions of equality of opportunity as the dependent variable, and the causality was confirmed using the LISREL program. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the affect factors to the perception of equal opportunity in early adulthood was the economic condision and the individual competence. The results of this study can confirm the perception of equal opportunity in the early adulthood entering the Korean society as a beginner. And it is considered that it can be used as information that will help prepare the social foundation for the early adult generation to performance responsible roles.
