취약청소년의 자립과 취업지원 방안(2022): 다문화청소년

Abstract

이 연구는 3년간 추진되는 ‘취약청년의 자립과 취업 지원 방안’의 2차년도(2022년) 연구로, 다문화청소년의 자립 및 취업 실태와 요구 분석을 바탕으로 자립과 취업 지원 정책 제고 방안을 제안함으로써 다문화청소년의 실질적인 사회적·경제적 자립을 돕고, 우리 사회의 구성원으로 안착할 수 있도록 지원하는 데 목적이 있다.

Multicultural youths desperately need social and economic self-reliance to grow into healthy members of society, but they are in a blind spot of support due to various constraints. The diversity of multicultural youth in domestic communities is increasing and their support needs are becoming more complex. Support for these youth should consider their unique characteristics and needs to help them achieve social and economic self-reliance. Multicultural youth often struggle with adapting to Korean society due to various challenges such as social prejudice, limited Korean language skills, economic difficulties within their families, a lack of supportive systems, difficulties adjusting to Korean culture, low academic achievement, an increase in the number of multicultural youth immigrating midway, and low career competence. In particular, they need specialized career education and employment support to ensure equal educational opportunities and promote stable growth. This study aims to develop support plans for the self-reliance and employment of multicultural youth who are considered disadvantaged in the second year (2022) of a three-year plan focused on supporting the self-reliance and employment of vulnerable youth.
