전문고졸 청년의 성적등급 및 유보임금 결정요인

Abstract

본 연구에서는 직업능력개발원의 교육고용 패널(KEEP) 4차 서베이 데이터를 분석하였다. 등급 프로빗(ordered probit) 모형을 적용한 결과, 실업고(졸) 학생들의 재학중 성적등급을 결정하는 개인특성 변수는 주로 수학과목 능력인 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 성적등급에 수학과목 능력과 학교생활 만족도의 교차항은 설명력이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 실업고 청년의 유보임금수준에 대해서는 성별 특성이 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이같은 분석 결과는 정부가 실업고 청년들을 위한 노동정책 시행시 주요 참고자료로 활용할 수 있다.

We estimate the difference in student grade between the students graduated from vocational high school(VHS) among 4th surveyed cohorts in KEEP by KRIVET. We perform simple analysis for the determinants of (student) grades. Multiple ordered regression shows that coefficients for (the ability of) MATH and KOREAN are significant and negative/positive as expected. From simple and multiple regression results, we can infer the main factor that affects student's grade is MATH ability. We also predict how the graduate students from vocational high school(VHS) make choices in labor market. When a student receives the job offer, he contemplates whether to accept it or not. In survey process, the reservation wages were answered indirectly by the question for "expected earnings". From multiple regression, we can see that there seems to be strong correlation between the level of wage and gender.
