학업성취에 대한 소득계층별 영향의 차이 : 학업 성적과 고교진학유형에 대한 영향을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 학업성적과 고교진학유형에 미치는 가족소득 수준별 영향의 차이를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 한국교육고용패널과 한국청소년패널, 한국교육종단연구 자료가 활용되었고, 회귀분석을 통해 분석결과를 비교하였다. 분석결과, 중3 시기의 학업성취도에는 가족소득의 영향이 비선형적인 것으로 나타났으나, 고교진학유형에서는 선형적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 저소득층의 학업성취향상을 위한 사회적 개입의 적실성을 높일 수 있는 기초 정보로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study analyzed the relation of family income level and educational achievement using the data from Korean Education and Employment Panel, Korea Youth Panel Survey(middle School 2) and Korean education Longitudinal Study. Analysis method is OLS and Logit regression. Result show that relation between family income level and academic achievement is non-linear. But relation between family income level and educational achievement is linear. Findings from this study suggest that societal support for weakness families contributes to improving educational attainment.
