수도권 비수도권 지역 간 대학생의 대학시설 만족도 차이에 대한 분해 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 한국교육고용패널 II(KEEP II) 데이터를 활용하여 수도권과 비수도권 지역 간 대학생의 대학시설 만족도 차이를 분해 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 성별 간 소득격차 분석에 주로 사용되는 Blinder-Oaxaca 분해 분석 기법을 적용하여 수도권과 비수도권 지역 간 대학생의 대학시설 만족도를 각 변수에 의한 차이로 인한 부분, 즉 설명 가능한 부분(Explained part)과 설명 불가능한 부분(Unexplained part)으로 분해하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 수도권과 비수도권 지역 간 대학생의 대학시설 만족도 차이가 나타났으며, 이러한 차이를 분해한 결과, 설명 가능한 부분이 59.3%, 설명 불가능한 부분이 41.7%로 나타났다. 분해 결과 중 설명 가능한 부분에서는 ‘대학 및 학과에 대한 자긍심’, ‘사회적 인식 만족도’와 ‘온라인수업 참여 여부’가 수도권 소재 대학과 비수도권 소재 대학 간의 대학시설 만족도 격차를 증가시키고, 부모의 근로소득이 높을수록 각 소재지 간의 대학시설 만족도 격차가 감소함을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 통하여 본 연구에서는 수도권 대학 집중 현상 해소를 위한 정책적 시사점과 비수도권 대학의 교육여건 차이 해소를 위한 다양한 정책의 효과 및 대책에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the gap in university facility satisfaction between universities in the metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas using data from the first and sixth years of the Korea Education and Employment Panel II (KEEP II), and to derive policy implications for resolving the gap between universities by location. and Providing policy implications for resolution. To this end, by applying the Blinder-Oaxaca decomposition analysis technique, which is mainly used for income gap analysis in economics, university facility satisfaction between universities in the metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas was analyzed by decomposing into the part due to the difference in student, school characteristics and the marginal effect. As a result of decomposing university facility satisfaction, universities in the metropolitan area were more satisfied than universities in the non-metropolitan area, and 59.3% of the differences were explained and 41.7% were unexplained. Among the explanable parts of the decomposition results, it was confirmed that “self-esteem for universities and departments,” “social awareness satisfaction,” and “online class participation” increased the gap in college facility satisfaction between universities in the metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas. Through these results, this study attempted to provide policy implications for resolving the concentration of universities in the metropolitan area and implications for various policies and measures to resolve differences in educational conditions in non-metropolitan universities.
