4년제 대학생의 현장실습 경험이 진로결정 및 구직활동에 미치는 영향 분석

Abstract

이 연구는 4년제 대학생의 현장실습 참여 경험이 진로결정 및 구직활동에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 한국교육고용패널Ⅱ의 3-6차년도 자료를 활용하였으며, 선택편의 문제를 완화하고자 경향점수매칭을 활용한 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현장실습에 참여한 학생들은 참여하지 않은 학생에 비해 진로결정 및 구직활동을 할 확률이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 16주 초과 장기현장실습의 참여는 진로결정과 구직활동에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않음을 확인하였다. 즉, 16주를 초과하여 현장실습에 참여한 학생과 16주 이하로 참여한 학생들 간에 진로결정과 구직활동에 있어서의 차이가 크지 않음을 확인하였다. 이상의 분석 결과를 바탕으로 4년제 대학생의 현장실습 운영에 대한 시사점을 도출하고, 후속 연구를 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of Field experiences of four-year university students on career decision-making and job-seeking activities. To achieve this, data from the 3rd to 6th year of the Korean Education and Employment Panel II were utilized, and logistic regression analysis with propensity score matching was conducted to mitigate selection bias. The main findings are as follows. Firstly, students who participated in field experiences showed a higher probability of engaging in career decision-making and job-seeking activities compared to those who did not participate. Secondly, participation in long-term field experiences exceeding 16 weeks was found to have no significant impact on career decision-making and job-seeking activities. In other words, there was no significant difference in career decision-making and job-seeking activities between students who participated in field experiences for more than 16 weeks and those who participated for 16 weeks or less. Based on these analysis results, implications for the operation of field experiences for four-year university students were derived, and suggestions for future research were made.
