직업교육체제 발전 방안 : 실업계 고교와 전문대학 연계교육을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 실업계 고교와 전문대학을 중심으로 우리 나라 직업교육체제에 대한 전반적인 검토를 통하여 직업교육기관 사이의 역할 분담과 종적인 차원의 연계를 통한 직업교육의 효율성과 효과성을 제고하여 계속교육적 관점에서 직업교육체제를 발전시키기 위한 방안을 마련하고자 한다.

Vocational high schools, technical colleges and industrial colleges are the main institutions for vocational education in Korea, and the interrelation among these institutions can be said to be the backbone of continuing vocational education. Interrelation among vocational education institutions can prevent repetition in education and enhance learning consistency and continuity that will result in an improvement in efficiency of effectiveness of vocational education. In spite of this, the vocational education institutions in Korea are not adequately fulfilling their functions and roles, which in turn is hindering the interrelation system from being effective. Therefore, if these institutions change their inefficient and discontinuing education method to systematically interrelated continuing education system, vocational education in Korea will be able to produce many talented workforces as well as offer opportunities in developing continuing occupational ability. With such a broad point of view, this research examines Koreas vocational education system focusing on vocational high schools and technical colleges and seeks to improve its efficiency and effectiveness through the allocation of roles among vocational education institutions and the establishment of vertical interrelation.
