사교육 효과 Reality인가, Illusion인가? : 수능성적에 대한 사교육 효과분석

Abstract

본 연구에서는 한국직업능력개발원의 한국교육고용패널(KEEP) 전국규모 종단자료를 이용하여 대학수학능력시험점수에 대한 사교육 효과를 실증적으로 분석해보고, 교육현장에서 사교육과 관련된 다양한 교육적 논의에 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과 수학과외와 사교육효과인식은 종속변수인 학생들의 수능 점수에 영향력을 행사하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 구체적으로 수학과외 여부의 경우 수학과외를 참여하고 있는 학생들이 수학과외를 참여하지 않고 있는 학생들보다 학업성취에 있어 긍정적인 효과를 보이고 있었으며, 사교육효과인식의 경우도 학생들의 사교육에 대한 효과성 인식이 수리영역의 등급향상에 도움을 주고 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 사교육 관련 변수들의 이러한 맥락은 수리영역에 대한 사교육의 효과가 실제하고 있으며, 나아가 학생들이 가지고 있는 사교육에 대한 믿음과 환상들이 결코 명확한 근거 없이 이루어지고 있는 것이 아님을 보여주는 것이다.

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of shadow education on CSAT. For this purpose, we uses a sample from Korean Education & Employment Panel 4 data conducted by the KRIVET and analysis methods are HGLM, which can examine for ordinal data for analyzing dependent variables. The results of HGLM provides that self-study, education expectation, and SES indicates that associated with an increase of points in the Math CSAT achievement score and effectiveness of shadow education on dependent variable was statistic significant, especially participating of shadow education and trust about shadow education. It provide that student recognized not only the effectiveness of shadow education on CSAT, but they have trust about effectiveness of shadow education on CSAT.
