미래직업이해 수준에 대한 학교 진로교육의 영향

Abstract

본 연구에서는 한국교육고용패널의 전국규모 종단자료를 이용하여 청소년들의 진로성숙도의 주요 영역인 미래직업이해 수준의 종단적인 변화를 추정하고 그러한 변화에 영향을 주는 요인을 분석하고자 하였다. 특별히 학교 진로교육의 효과를 탐색하여 향후 청소년들의 진로성숙도를 기능적으로 개발하고 진로교육 계획 수립의 실증적인 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 잠재성장모형(Latent Growth Model: LGM)을 적용하였으며, 무변화, 선형변화, 이차곡선변화를 가정하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 2004-2009년의 경우 이차곡선 변화모형을 보여주고 있었으며, 초기치와 변화율 상관은 통계적으로 무의미하였다. 또한 이차곡선 변화모형에 영향을 주는 핵심적 변수로는 개인수준의 자기효능감, 학교수준의 학업성취와 학교 진로교육을 확인할 수 있었다. 특별히 본 연구에서 관심을 가진 학교 진로교육의 경우 초기치에 통계적으로 유의미하게 영향을 주었으나 변화율과 이차곡선에는 통계적으로 무의미하였다.

This study analyzes the factors influencing career maturity(perception of future occupation) and its change in Korean youth by using a sample from KEEP (Korean Education & Employment Panel) data. The results are as follows: First, perception of future occupation of Korean youth is gradually increased with quadratic curve. Also, the interrelationship between intercept and slope of social capital is not statically significant. Second, analysis of Latent Growth Models shows that self esteem, academic achievement, and school career education are found to be a statistically significant factor on perception of future occupation of Korean youth. These findings show that perception of future occupation of Korean youth are the quadratic curve and influenced by self esteem, academic achievement, and school career education. It means that public/private schools have to encourage school career education program with quality in educational curriculum and to develop a strategy to can improve self esteem of students.
