직업포부와 교육포부가 교육성취에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 한국교육고용패널(KEEP) 데이터를 활용하여 직업포부와 교육포부가 교육성취에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 분석방향은 고교시기 직업포부 그리고 교육포부가 2014년 현재 시점의 최종학력에 미치는 효과를 인과관계로 분석하였다. 또한 학생의 직업포부와 교육포부 그리고 교육성취에 대한 가정배경의 효과를 통제하기 위하여 부학력, 부직업, 가구소득을 외생변수로 투입하였다. 그리고 직업포부와 교육포부 그리고 교육성취가 계열에 따라 어떻게 다른 맥락을 갖게 되는지 탐색하기 위하여 인문계와 실업계로 분리하여 모형을 설정하고 분석하였다. 이와같이 교육성취에 영향을 미치는 효과 탐색은 LISREL 프로그램을 사용하여 구조방정식모형으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 가정배경, 교육포부, 직업포부 그리고 교육성취와 인과관계 맥락이 인문계와 전문계가 다르게 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구 결과는 한국사회 가정배경과 교육 그리고 직업과의 관련성에 대 한 탐색에 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.

This study examines the effects of occupational and educational aspirations on educational attainment using KEEP data the 1st and the 10th waves. It is hypothesized that there are causal relations among family background, educational aspirations, occupational aspirations and academic performance. In particular, this study compares the educational attainment in terms of differences between two types of high schools. The method used in this study is path analysis by LISREL program. As a result, there is distinctive difference between academic and vocational high school in the effects of family background and occupational aspirations. However, there is no difference between the two schools in the effects of educational aspirations to educational attainment. The results of this study are expected to provide suggestions for identifying training and learning information necessary for adolescents in the transition process from school to world of work.
