대학졸업자의 미취업 지속기간과 미취업 탈출 결정요인

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 한국교육고용패널조사(KEEP)를 활용하여 대졸자의 미취업 탈출기간과 미취업 탈출 요인을 확인하는데 있다. 분석을 위해 중, 고등학교 3학년 패널 8차~11차 자료를 통합하여 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대졸자는 개인 및 학교특성에 따라 취업준비행동에 차이를 보였다. 여성 대졸자는 학점에, 남성 대졸자는 직접적인 구직행동에 적극적이었으며, 대학유형과 전공에 따라 현장실습 참여에 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 대졸자의 미취업 기간이 길어질수록, 미취업 탈출 가능성은 낮아지고 있었다. 셋째, 청년층의 자기관리역량인 자존감은 미취업 탈출확률을 높이는 중요한 변수로 작용하고 있었다. 마지막으로 구직활동은 미취업탈출에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤지만, 단순히 양적으로만 다양한 취업준비행동은 오히려 미취업탈출에 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 청년층의 실업문제를 완화하기 위한 대안과 정책 방안을 제언하였다.

This study analyzes how long take a time for school to work transition and find factors that effect to escape Youth unemployment. This study analyzed the Korea Education and Employment Panel(KEEP) using Kaplan-Meir analysis and Cox proportional hazards model. The results were as follows. First, graduates were difference job preparation actions by sex and major. second, the longer the period of unemployment of college graduates, the lower chance to escape unemployment. Third, self-esteem was an important factor to increase to get a job. finally, Seeking a job had a positive impact on the employment. however, the number of job preparation action was a negative effect on escaping the unemployed. These results were discussed in practical intervention strategies to solve the youth unemployment problem.
