사회적 자본이 긍정적 자아관을 매개로 행복에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구에서는 사회적 자본이 긍정적 자아관을 매개로 하여 행복에 영향을 주고 있음을 밝히고자 한다. 한국직업능력개발원이 제공하는 한국교육고용패널 조사 데이터(KEEP: Korean Education and Employment Panel) 2014년도 자료를 활용하였고, 매개효과검증을 위해 구조 방정식(SEM: Structural Equation Model)을 적용했다. 총 5663명(남: 3422, 여: 2241)의 데이터가 활용 되었다. 본 연구에서는 사회적 자본을 구성하는 요소들로 ‘참여’, ‘이타주의’, ‘일반 사람에 대한 신뢰’, ‘여러 집단에 대한 신뢰’, ‘주변 환경에 대한 안전성 인식’으로 보았다. 분석 결과, 사회적 자본은 행복과 긍정적 자아관에 모두 직접 효과를 보였으며, 긍정적 자아관이 사회적 자본과 행복의 관계를 부분적으로 매개하고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 본 연구는 사회적 자본과 행복의 관계 메커니즘을 밝히었다는 점에서 의의를 갖고, 사회학과 심리학의 융합연구라는 점에서 중요성을 지닌다. 본 연구를 기반으로 한 시사점과 향후 새로운 연구 아이디어에 대해서도 기술하였다.

The purpose of this article is to examine the effects of social capital on happiness mediated by positive self concept. To do so, this study utilized KEEP(Korean Education and Employment Panel)2014 and applied to a Structural Equation Model. The number of data was 5,663. In this study, the components of social capital are as follow: participation, altruism, trust on general people, trust on groups, and feeling safety. The results show that social capital has a direct effect both on positive self concept and individual happiness. In addition, positive self concept partially mediated the relationship between social capital and happiness. This research has contribution in terms of revealing the mechanism between the social capital and happiness. It also has a theoretical contribution by combining sociology and psychology. Practical implication and future research idea are also discussed.
