청년 콘텐츠인력의 첫 직장 진입 소요기간 및 임금 영향요인 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 청년 콘텐츠인력의 첫 직장 진입 소요기간 및 임금 영향요인을 분석함으로써 청년 콘텐츠인력의 노동시장 진입에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다. 한국고용정보원에서 제공하는 청년패널 1～7차(2007～2013년) 자료에서 콘텐츠산업에 종사하는 인력과 콘텐츠직업을 가진 인력을 추출하여 분석한 결과 전(全)산업과 달리 콘텐츠인력의 첫 직장 진입 소요기간에는 취업전 경험요소가 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 또한 콘텐츠인력의 첫 임금은 경험요소나 고용 및 기업 형태보다는 개인역량에 크게 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과들은 청년 콘텐츠인력의 노동시장 진입성과를 확대시키기 위해서는 직무관련성이 높은 경험 기회를 확대하는 동시에 이러한 경험이 노동시장에서 신호기제로 작동될 수 있는 체계가 구축되어야 함을 보여준다. 또한 콘텐츠인력의 역량 강화에 필요한 경력개발 및 교육훈련 지원이 필요하다는 것을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to draw policy implications for improving entry conditions into the labor market by analyzing the factors influencing labor conditions of youth creative workers (hereinafter called "creative workers"). Creative workers categorized those working in the creative(content) industries and those working in creative jobs in other industries. Then, characteristics and employment preparation process of creative workers were identified using the 1st to 7th Youth Panel (2007~2013) from the Korea Employment Information Service. The results of the analysis show that creative workers have no significant relationship between pre-employment experience and employment. The wages of creative workers were affected by their competencies rather than by pre-employment experience and types of employment and company. These results show that pre-employment experience of creative workers does not function as a signaling device in the labor market. This also implies that support for career development and education and training needs to be provided to strengthen the competencies of creative workers.
