일반계 고등학생의 진로교육활동 참여 및 만족도가 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향 : 소득계층별 비교를 중심으로

Abstract

이 연구는 소득계층에 따른 일반계 고등학생의 진로교육활동 참여 및 만족도, 진로성숙도의 차이를 살펴보고, 소득계층별 진로교육활동이 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 한국교육고용패널(KEEP)Ⅱ 1차년도 고등학생 5,088명(소득계층 하위집단 1,414명, 중위집단 2,243명, 상위집단 1,431명)의 데이터를 활용하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소득계층에 따른 고등학생의 진로교육활동 참여는 '창의적 체험활동 중 진로활동', '진로심리검사', '진로동아리' 변수가 유의미한 차이가 나타났으나, 수치상으로 큰 수준의 차이는 아니었다. 진로교육활동 만족도 중에는 '진로와 직업 수업', '창의적 체험활동 중 진로활동' 변수가 소득계층에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있었고, 전반적으로 소득계층 하위집단 학생의 진로교육 만족도가 더 높은 경향을 보였다. 둘째, 소득계층에 따른 고등학생의 진로성숙도는 하위요인 및 전체 모두 유의미한 차이가 있었고, 소득계층 상위집단 학생일수록 진로성숙도 수준이 더 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 소득계층별 각 진로교육활동이 고등학생의 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 하위집단에서는 '창의적 체험활동 중 진로활동', '진로상담', '학과체험' 변수가 진로성숙도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 소득계층 중위집단에서는 '진로심리검사', '진로상담', '직업인멘토 특강', '학과체험', '진로캠프' 변수가, 그리고 상위집단에서는 '진로심리검사', '진로동아리', '직업인멘토 특강', '진로캠프' 변수가 진로성숙도의 긍정적인 영향요인으로 확인되었다. 위 결과를 토대로 저소득가정 고등학생의 진로교육을 지원하고 일반고등학교 내 진로교육을 활성화하기 위한 몇 가지 시사점을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference in participation in career education activities, satisfaction with these activities, and career maturity according to the income classes of general high school students. Also, the study investigated the effects of career education activities on career maturity. It used the cases of 5,088 students, including 1,414 low-income students, 2,243 middle- income students, and 1,431 high-income students, from the 2016 data of KEEP II for the analysis. The main results are as follows. First, participation in career education, such as 'career activities during creative activities', 'career psychology tests', and 'career club' had a significant difference among the income classes. Among the variables of satisfaction with career education, 'career and vocational class' and 'career activities during creative activities' had a significant difference among the income classes. Second, the level of high school students' career maturity was significantly different among the income classes. Third, the factors for career education activities influencing high school students' career maturity showed different results in each income class. Based on the above results, this study suggests ways of enhancing career education in the field of general high schools and for students in the low-income class.
