전문대학 학사운영 개선방안 연구

Abstract

본 연구 목적은 우선 전문대학 교육환경 변화와 전문대학의 현황과 문제점을 분석하고 그 결과를 기초로 특성화된 전문대학 나름의 사명과 역할을 설정하여 지식기반사회에서의 전문대학의 역할을 정립해 보고자 한다. 전문대학의 위상과 사회의 요구에 맞는 학사운영체제를 모색하기 위하여 전문대학 수준의 외국의 학사운영체제를 분석하여 우리 나라 전문대학 학사운영 개선에 주는 시사점을 모색한다. 셋째 성인들의 계속교육 요구를 실현하는데 장애가 되는 현행 학사운영체제의 실태를 분석하여 전문대학이 열린 학사운영체제를 구현할 수 있는 개선방안을 제시하고 산업사회가 필요로 하는 양질의 전문인력을 양성할 수 있는 전문대학의 교육과정 실태를 파악하여 바람직한 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Junior Colleges in Korea are two or three year post-secondary institutes with emphasis on vocational and technical education. There are 161 junior colleges, 145 private and 16 national/public, with approximately 600,000 students attending, as of 1999.

This study is an attempt to suggest policy implications for improving college education programs through analyzing the current surrounding environment, educational practices, and the problems of the college education system in all its aspects.
