고교계열에 따른 청년기 경력패턴 유형 비교

Abstract

본 연구는 한국교육고용패널조사(KEEP) 7차년도까지의 시계열 자료를 활용하여 일반고 및 특성화고 졸업자의 경력패턴을 탐색하였다. 7년이라는 시간은 개인의 경력패턴을 확인하기에는 다소 짧은 시간이나, 19세부터 25세까지는 전 생애의 안적적인 경력을 형성하는 중요한 시기라는 점에서 시사점을 가질 수 있다. 일반고 및 특성화고 졸업자의 1년 단위의 경력을 8개의 하위범주로 구분하여 분석한 결과, 일반고 졸업자의 경우 “고졸후 떠돌이형”, “대졸후 취업형/대학재학형”, “병역 후 대학복귀형”, “전문대 진학 후 떠돌이형, ”전문대 졸업 후 취업형“의 5개 유형의 경력패턴이 확인되었다. 둘째, 특성화고 졸업자의 경우 “대학재학형”, “고졸 후 떠돌이형“, ”고졸후 취업형“, ”전문대학 및 미상 혼합형“의 4개 유형의 경력패턴이 확인되었다. 한편 일반고 경력패턴 유형과 관련하여서는 성별, 가정특성, 수학성적, 교육포부, 자신에 대한 인식과 관련된 변인 등이 특성화고 경력패턴 유형과 관련하여서는 성별, 가정특성, 전공 및 자격증, 교육포부, 리더십, 가정경제수준 등이 유의미한 영항을 끼치는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose for this study was to identify and describe career pattern of youth. Especially this study focused on comparison of vocational highschool students' career pattern with those of highschool students. Data from Korea Education and Employment Panel(KEEP) was analyzed by applying optimal matching, clustering analysis and multi-norminal logit analysis. Results of this study were as follows: First, career patterns of general highschool students clustered 5 types : “Cluster 1: Wanderer after highschool graduation”, “Cluster 2: Work after university graduation/ University attending”, “Cluster 3: University return after military service”, “Wanderer after college graduation”, “Cluster 4: Work after college graduation”. Second, career patterns of vocational highschool students clustered 4 types : “Cluster 1: University attending”, “Cluster 2: Wanderer after highschool graduation”, “Cluster 3: Work after highschool graduation”, “Cluster 4: Mixed with college attending/change and unknown status”. Third, types of career patterns of youth were effected by gender, family characters, educational aspiration.
