대학생의 취업선호도 결정요인 탐색 : 자존감을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 한국직업능력개발원에서 주관한 교육고용패널 7차년도 자료를 대상으로 대학생의 취업선호도 결정요인을 탐색하여 보았다. 대학생이 강한 자존감을 지니고 있으면 그들의 취업선호도가 높다. 대학생이 희망직군에 대한 내용과 정보에 대한 인지도가 높아질수록 자존감과 구직조건에 대한 선호도의 연관관계는 유의미해지고 있다. 본 연구는 대학생의 개인적 특성을 대학생의 취업선호도를 결정짓는 요인으로 검증하여 대학생 취업에 대한 연구영역을 넓혔다. 청년취업은 다양한 요인과 얽혀 뚜렷한 해법을 찾기 어렵다. 앞으로 청년취업에 대한 연구영역이 넓어져 심각한 청년실업에 대한 다양한 해법이 모색되어야겠다.

The current study examines the effects of self-esteem of university students on their employment preferences. This study also, examines interaction effects with the amount of knowledge and information about future career planning. With the Korean education and employment panel(keep) dataset 7th year from the Korea research institute vocational education and training(KRIVET), the empirical results of the study show that self-esteem predicts the employment preferences of university students. The amount of knowledge and information about future career planning adds positive effects to the relationship between self-esteem and its related employment preferences. As self-esteem may provide mixed effects on employment preferences of university students, it is critical to consider varying aspects of self-esteem in job search behaviors. Further, individual demographics provide significant effects on employment preferences. Therefore, it is necessary to consider individual demographics in dealing with employment of university students.
