가정배경과 청년기 진로발달 특성이 직업만족도에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 한국교육고용패널조사(KEEP) 데이터를 활용하여 진로발달 특성과 직업만족도와의 인과관계를 분석하였다. 분석방향은 가정배경인 부모학력과 가정소득, 고교시기의 학업활동 그리고 자아정체감이 전공 일치와 직업만족에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 확인하는 것이다. 특히 직업은 고교 계열선택에 달라질 수 있기 때문에 계열에 따른 차이를 비교하였다. 분석변인은 가정배경(부모학력, 가정소득), 고교학업(교과흥미, 교과성취), 자아정체감(자아인식, 자아효능감, 자존감), 전공일치 그리고 직업만족도(근무조건, 동료관계, 복지수준)이며 분석방법은 구조방정식모형을 통한 경로분석이다. 분석결과는 계열 즉, 인문계와 전문계 패널 간의 인과관계 맥락에 차이를 나타내고 있으나, 두 모형의 공통적인 결과는 전공일치가 직업만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있다는 것이다. 본 연구 결과는 가정배경과 학령기 학업활동, 그리고 진로성숙 정도가 직업만족도에 미치는 효과를 확인함으로써 학교에서 직업세계로 이행해 가는 과정에 필요한 교육 및 학습 정보를 확인하는데 시사점을 제공할 것으로 판단된다.

This article examines the affect of family background and career development of adolescents on occupational satisfaction using the Korea Education and Employment Panel(KEEP) data from the first to the ninth wave. It is hypothesized that there are causal relations among occupational satisfaction, family background, academic performance, self-identity, major-job congruence. As a result, there is distinctive difference between academic and vocation high school of the effects of family background and career development of adolescents on occupational satisfaction. However there is not a difference between the two schools on the effects of Major-job Congruence to occupational satisfaction. The results provide the information for promoting the sound development of career adolescents for the school to work transition.
