Introduction
Overview
Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) proposes vocational education and training as well as policy alternatives for the labor market and efficiently supports government projects.
KRIVET was established in 1997 to contribute to the revitalization of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and the improvement of all citizens' vocational skills by efficiently carrying out research projects on the development of vocational skills through studies on the TVET policies and qualification systems and the development and distribution of TVET programs.
Center for International Cooperation
Center for International Cooperation is promoting various exchanges and cooperation with international organizations and overseas related organizations with the aim of internationalizing research capabilities and advancing Korean TVET policies. Through hosting international conference such as Global HR Forum, UNEVOC Netowork Consolidation Workshop, KRIVET shares knowledge and experience on human resources development. In addition, we are laying the foundation for international cooperation by signing MOUs with various institutions from international organization to government and research institutions.

| Global HR Forum | Recognizing the importance of international cooperation and connection in talent development and utilization, the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training, the Ministry of Education, and the Korea Economic Daily established the Global HR Forum in 2006 to share this vision with experts at home and abroad. The Global HR Forum contributes to solving the major challenges facing humanity through talent development driven by global collaboration. |

| UNESCO Regional Center Project | The Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training was designated as a UNESCO Regional Center of Excellence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training in 2002, and since 2012 has served as the UNESCO-UNEVOC East and Southeast Asia Cluster Coordinating Centre. In addition, KRIVET hosts an annual international workshop to share best practices in vocational education and training and to promote mutual learning. |
| Better Education for Africa Rise (BEAR) | As an implementation partner of UNESCO BEAR III project, Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training supports sustainable TVET system of West Africa (Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone) through consultation and technical guidance on in-country labor market analysis and curriculum development practice. Previously, KRIVET implemented the BEAR Phase I project for Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Namibia, and Zambia. |
